Innovasport Hub

Client: Innovasport
Year: 2019

Fresh off the heels of a previous collaboration with us, Innovasport, the premier sportswear & sneaker Mexican retailer, tasked us with a new challenge: design a post-retail experience for some of their key audiences, an “experiential hub” in the heart of CDMX: Bosque de Chapultepec.

We started by assessing some key user needs and expectations surrounding the core “job-to-be-done” of each audience. We then layered them using a classic Maslow pyramid of needs, and imagined an experience that would address all of these needs systematically.

Finally, we started the design process by mixing a combination of architectural concepts: a classic “agora” mixed with “local signatures”. This would allow the space to be replicable (operational and business model) but also offer a unique locally-tailored experience (a curation of partner running clubs, events & happenings, activations for partner brands).

The end result is a hub for runners, yoga practitioners and urban cyclists, offering a space co-curated with running clubs, featuring multi-purpose areas (social, educational and commercial), a wellness bar, a studio for content creation, lockers and bathrooms / showers and a few other amenities.
